A Simple Word for Complex People

"Grace in the Wilderness" (Jeremiah 31:1-6; John 20:1-18)

This Easter is unlike any other in our lifetimes. The circumstances in which we live today are unprecedented, and are disorienting for many of us, just as the resurrection was disorienting for the disciples.

Rejoice and Be Glad (Matthew 21:1-11)

Palm Sunday. The people want a king to free them from Rome. God has much bigger things in mind. But to get there, things will get worse before they get better. The road to resurrection always passes through Calvary.

We have things we want God to do right now. But God has much bigger things in mind. We need to remember that as well. 

"Dry Bones" (Ezekiel 37:1-14)

We are in uncertain times as the Coronavirus forces us to make changes to our routines. The church has been deeply rattled, like other communities. But, I believe God is calling us to minister in a way that will speak hope to rattled people. We have a prophecy to preach ... now is the time to preach it. Dry bones are waiting!
