A Simple Word for Complex People

Have you ever been so overwhelmed you had no idea how to move forward, or weren't up to a task because you didn't feel qualified? The Bible says our weak points become strengths when we realize that those are precisely the points where God shines brightest through us. Let's talk about it!

What happens when your boat begins to take on water? You work feverishly to get that water out! But, Jesus says, "I'll handle the storm." Can you entrust that to Him? Let's talk about it!

If you would speak your internal narrative out loud, would you be proud of what you say to yourself? Every word you say to yourself is a seed that will produce fruit. God has prepared everything for growth, but what are we planting? Let's talk about it!

What does it cost you to be a follower of Jesus? Have your beliefs ever caused you to lose people in your life? Has your safety ever been jeopardized? Let's talk about it!

You can get through anything life throws at you, because you have been baptized -- not just with water, not just when you were young! You have been baptized with God's Holy Spirit, and gifted with incredible gifts! Let's talk about it!

God wants to spend time with us, but we're so busy being busy, we breeze right past opportunities to receive the blessings God has in store for us ... blessings like real joy. Let's talk about it!

All of us teach young people how to be adults with our body language, words, and actions, whether we're aware of it or not. We are being observed and studied without even realizing it. Can we be courageous enough to take that role seriously? Because, if we don't, someone else will form our young people into who THEY want our young people to be.
